The association of Historians Without Borders in Finland collects and processes only the necessary information about its members, newsletter subscribers, members of its international network and those who fill in forms. Personal data is collected on the basis of the individual’s own indication, with the individual giving his or her data and consent to the processing of the data.
Personal data is used for communication, member services and the organisation of events. Personal data are processed by the employees of the association who carry out the above-mentioned tasks. The information contained in the registers will not be disclosed for commercial use. Data will be disclosed to the authorities where necessary. As a general rule, personal data will not be transferred outside the European Union. Our mailing list subscriber data is stored on a server located in the United States. The transfer of personal data between the EU and the US is governed by the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.
