The Finnish-Indian Society and Historians without Borders are joining forces to organise two events on Gandhi as well as the legacy of Gandhism and the historical culture associated with Gandhi in India.
On Tuesday 18 March 2025 at 17:00, the classic film Gandhi (1982) will be screened at Cinema Orion in Helsinki. The film will be introduced by Docent Raita Merivirta and Shefali Arora, President of the Finnish-India Society.
The languages of the film are English and Hindi and the subtitles will be in Finnish and Swedish. The film has a running time of 3 h 11 min. The film will be shown in the format 35 mm.
