Events

HWB organizes panel discussions and public talks aimed at both expert and general audiences, generally focusing on topics such as the use of history and its interpretations. Especially in the public events the idea is to promote awareness of history and, in a constructive way, to tackle the difficult topics of history politics.

Expert panels, on the other hand, aim to improve dialogue between scholars of history and policy-makers. In all events, the idea is to also develop ways and means to use history as a tool in conflict-resolution. Likewise, HWB is ready to act as an expert in mediation processes.

Occassionally HWB also organizes large, international events, such as the networking conference that will take place at the University of Helsinki 19-20 May 2016.
